Focus Friday #4

For this week's Focus Friday, I want to share this amazing video from Francis and Lisa Chan.

Some of you may recognize those names:  Francis is a best-selling author who gives away something like 90% of his income.  He has given away millions of dollars to charities, especially focusing in on organizations that feed hungry children and rescue and minister to sex slaves.  Super cool.

Check out this video and be inspired.  Maybe you can't fly to Africa this year to do what he and his wife have done.  But maybe it will encourage you to dig deep and do more where you are.  Either way, rejoice in seeing some fellow human beings on this planet making a difference!

It’s an unusual recipe because it doesn’t require any ingredients from the frig like milk, butter or eggs. It’s made with water and ingredients from the pantry, including oil, flour and sugar. One of my children and I were having a cabin fever kind of day recently, missing the freedom to have big adventures and attend big events. You know what I mean? We had been sheltered-in-place about seven weeks and were missing those moments when someone says, "So, what'd you do this weekend?" . . . and you have something big to say. In those conversations, we tend to skip over the details like we brushed our teeth or took out the trash. Instead, we would mention the one or two things that seemed like a big deal. A birthday party, or dinner at somewhere fancy. During the shelter-in-place, we don't get to go to the movies or the mall. No overnight road trips or even trips to the hair salon.
